Super Link truck driver training


Super Link truck driver training is an advanced professional development program designed for licensed heavy vehicle drivers to master operating large articulated double-trailer combinations. The training generally takes between 5 days to 3 weeks to complete.


Core Requirements
  • Existing Licence: You must already hold a valid Code 14 (EC) driver’s  licence.
  • Identification: A copy of your South African ID or passport.
  • Prerequisites: Competent foundation skills in driving large single-articulated vehicles.

    What the Training Covers
    The curriculum focuses heavily on specialized maneuvering skills required for logistics and transport: 
    • Reversing Manoeuvres: Mastery of right-side and left-side alley docking, full swings, and adjusting by watching 6-metre and 12-metre trailer points.
    • Coupling and Uncoupling: Safely connecting and disconnecting the front (interlink) and rear trailers.
    • On-Road Practical Driving: Forward driving, handling blind spots, turning angles, and navigating traffic with heavily loaded vehicles.
    • Theory & Safety: Pre-trip inspections, load limit dimension constraints, speed management, and handling emergency situations
